A WORD FROM THE OFFICE
Piedmont Christian School was established in 1970 and has since been dedicated to the educational and spiritual enrichment of the lives of its student body.
Located in rural Bumpass, Virginia, on the grounds of Bethany Christian Church, for three decades Piedmont has stood as a testimony to God's faithfulness and blessings.
Piedmont offers many advantages and opportunities to senior high students, as well as academic challenges to middle school students.In the elementary area, you will find friendly and caring teachers who are more than willing to offer their assistance to you and your children.
Our K-4 program is an added advantage to your growing child's educational development, and one advantage that many parents with young children choose to utilize.
Piedmont Christian School offers high academic and spiritual standards and serves the families of Louisa County and surrounding areas. Located in the eastern part of the county, Piedmont students commute from Louisa, Mineral, Lake Anna, Beaverdam, Montpelier, Ashland, Goochland, and Gum Springs.
CLASSROOM DIVISIONS
We offer small classroom settings with very reasonable teacher to student ratios.
Preschool and Kindergarten
Beginning with a program for four-year-olds, students are introduced to phonics, counting, and writing. Students learn to read one-syllable words. Kindergarten students continue with phonics and reading, simple addition and subtraction. Our students celebrate their achievements in Kindergarten with a graduation ceremony complete with caps and gowns!
Elementary through High School
The Piedmont staff is dedicated to prepare students academically and offers college preparatory classes. To prepare students socially, PCS offers formal events such as Homecoming Court and Spring Social. Music (including hand-bells), drama, and sign language opportunities present themselves with our annual Christmas Program and special chapel services. Other opportunities to serve church and community involve Mission Projects and our annual Harvest Party.
