Locust Creek Volunteer Fire Department is having a MDA Community Day to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. There will be a silent auction, raffle, food, games, prizes, bake sale and yard sale. If you have any questions please call 872.3218

Christmas in September!! Each week in September we will collect a special offering as a personal Christmas gift to the many missionaries we support at Bethany. Your gift may be placed in the collection box in the foyer or the offering plate. If placed in the offering, please designate at Christmas in September. Thank you!

New Class Beginning September 19th! This class will meet during the Sunday School hour in Room M9-Majestic and study Biblical doctrines. We are using Denver Sizemore's book "Thirteen Lessons in Christian Doctrine" as a guide. Please sign up in the Welcome Center by September 12th so we will have enough books. The class will continue into early January and is led by Mike Yancey. Some of the topics are: God, The Bible, Repentance, Giving, Jesus -The Christ, The Church, Prayer, The Coming of the Lord
New Wednesday PM Class: "The Making of a Disciple" We have come to call the words of Matthew 28:18vf
Jesus' "Great Commission" for the Christian. That commission begins with a call to "make disciples". Before we can "MAKE" disciples we must first "BE" disciples and that is a growth process that never ends. Beginning on Wednesday September 22 at 7PM, Bryan Begley will be leading a 13-week class called "The Making of a Disciple." Everyone is encouraged to participate in and invite others to join us in our study.
Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24 and 25 Ray Murphy will be at Bethany to make Apple Butter! If you would like to help with this event please sign up in the Welcome Center. There are many ways to help!
